I've currently got an LCD monitor, 1440x900 resolution, standard definition and 75Hz. Basically just want to know whether you think it is worth spending the money on a new monitor. If i was to get one i would probably get one with 1900x1200 (ish) resolution and 1080p. Also is there a noticeable difference between 75Hz and 120Hz refresh rate or should i not worry too much about that?

Just looking for your opinion, thanks.

Get an IPS or PVA panel while you're at it.

1080p means 1920x1080 and the "p" is redundant when talking about monitors.

If you're not on at least 1080p, then yes it's time for an upgrade.

1440x900 to 1920x1080 is a great jump to make, just realize that it is also a huge jump for you GPU to take as well. Make sure you have the gpu power the make the jump worth it. My 2 cents.

Yeah, waste $150 on something crappy rather than investing another $50-150 into something worth having...

Well I've got an nvidia geforce 320 gt. I know it isn't incredible but I'm not looking to upgrade that yet and it says it can max resolution at 2560x1600 HD, so should be ok.
