Asus 8800 GTX 768Teskhan
Oh then unless you plan to upgrade soon, go for the 55in (If the TV is a good brand)
but if you plan to upgrade your graphics (say a gtx 280) then you will be better going for a higher res 1680x1050 +
either way i wish i had the money to get a 55in haha

It's LG. Is it good?woooph... thats gotta be pricey lol.... you will be great with that tv! even with a new high end card...
go for it!
Wait, how far away from the screen are you going to sit? Even if it is full 1080P the pixel size on a TV of that size at say 3-4 feet away is going to huge. Maybe if you sit 6-8 feet back on the couch.
If you look at PC monitors over 26" most of them at a resolution of 2560x1600.

My friend has a 55inch with a 360 and he sits about 1 meter away :P
2560x1600 is overkill for that card.... id rather play on a 55inch than a 21 at high res (mabe not 2560x1600 lol...That would be great!)
This. My friend sits a couple of feet from a 42" and still finds it impossible to game competitively because you can only focus on a chuck of the screen. It looks good, but it's a pain in the neck (both literally and figuratively) to deal with.Just stick your nose about 2" away from your monitor. That will give you an idea of what it would be like to use 55" display sitting just 2-3 feet away.
