Has anyone here tried LA Noire on PC? The PC version was rated slightly higher than the console brethren.
I was thinking of trying this or Skyrim. I just finished Batman: AC!

Yeah, definitely worth a purchase. Has some slight stuttering issues here & there, but nothing major.
Its better then GTA IV imo, its not as much action or random violence but the story, characters, animations,etc.. are much better. I donno maybe I just enjoy being a detective instead of some random thug. Some might find it slower,etc.. then GTA but thats one of the reasons I liked it more, more story focused and character driven.
Between LA NOIRE and Skyrim though I would say get Skyrim, but hey ya cant go wrong either way bud, two good games;)
I played L.A. Noire on the 360 and it was quite an experience. A lot of people didn't like it because it was an "interactive movie." Personally, I like puzzle games and figuring out crimes was pretty fun; that being said. I played through it once and that was it. Not much replay value for me. So that depends on if you don't mind buying a great game that you'll most likely only play once. :)
I just finished the PS3 rental about an hour ago. It's a rather unique concept with several interesting ideas that don't quite come together that neatly. You begin to sense that they ran out of ideas trying to keep it fresh when they start throwing in standard GTA type missions. It was a fun, somewhat unique experience, yet it was also sort of a mess. I give it an 8.
Heavy Rain I would think. And hope. Don't get me started on Mafia 2So does this play like Heavy Rain or more like Mafia 2?

This. LA Noire is worth just the facial expressions. Nothing else is interesting or done well, except detective work.Heavy Rain I would think. And hope. Don't get me started on Mafia 2So does this play like Heavy Rain or more like Mafia 2?

Heavy Rain, its nothing like Mafia 2. I guess you could say they are set in the same time frame. but nothing else.
Its tough to say if you would like it TC, its a decent game but its not for everyone. I got bored of it about half way in.
