I think Max Payne as a series is outstanding.

However, I chose the last choice.

Biggest_Loser, your constant Uwe Boll jokes are a terrible attempt at humor, sooooo played.

But you have a unique personality and are a rare breed on this here gamespot site, we have a few too many 13 year old fanboys ranting and raving about this and that.

To summarize, Max Payne = Awesome, Uwe Boll = terrible, Uwe Bool jokes on every thread = extermely terriblle.

Mafia is the best. I loved the Max Payne series, but i thought both of the games were too short.

I disagree. I actually like the Uwe Boll jokes. The reason why i chose the last option too is that he posts waaaaay too much random or useless stuff. Biggest_loser, Ibelieve you should think or research a little bit more before posting a new thread. And yeah max payne is great.

How should I win the trust of the people on Gamespot! You know, like in the demo of Diablo II!! Maybe I could help you round up the fanboys....you do have a lasso don't you?

You actually remember my Uwe Boll jokes? The man is no joke...more of a myth...ahh there I go again...you actually plan on kidnapping me? This is an outrage! That was a joke option! You're meant to tell me how great Payne is! lol

yeah thats ok. Its not the humour part i dont like, its the fact you post slightly useless threads quite often. Example: when you got system shock 2, you made about 7 topics with various questions about the game; some where the same. You could just ask something it the thread you already made.

Oh yeah thats true! Sorry. I'm still "the kid" (yes like Billy thank you), still learning the ropes. I sometimes do that because I can't wait too long to get a reply. Its the impatience of youth my friend...SS2 is going okay. I stopped playing it. After beating all 3 thief games and Deus Ex 1 + lousy "sequel" it feels a pretty familiar towards them...

yeah, after playing too many old games you kind of need to come back to the present. Thats how i feel. I completed SS2 yesterday and was planning on doing a second run immediately after, but i think i need a break. I need to play something recent. Im about to buy crysis. Did you play it? If so,how was it?

Disregarding Uwe Boll and noting anyone's right to babble whatever they see fit (as long as it's within the rules), it may just be right. The two Max Payne's (playing the second now) rock and it is perhaps the best TPS series going around.

On a more serious note, Max Payne is up there as far as third person shooters go on the PC.

There isn't much competition, unfortunately.

Biggest Loser, have you played Mafia? It came out a littlw while after Max Payne, and IMO it was a little better. If you liked max payne, you'd probably like mafia.

I finished it ages ago lol. And to the guy above me: Yes i have played Mafia. Its sooo awesome. But i just love MP the most because of its style, the whole brand of Noir. - No other game has attempted that.

Mafia...short? My gosh. It wasn't for me on the pc. Now max payne was short. Until I downloaded all the great mods for it, then I kept playing the thing forever. But mafia had too many issues for me to consider it better than max payne. Max payne could almost considered a fps, since it plays exactly like one. And thats exactly how 3rd person shooters should be. Very controllable. Not some clunky mess.

Have you seen what computer I currently have? Let me put it this way: I can't even play San Andreas without it restarting all the time. I don't even have XP. One of my main goals, apart from getting my first gf next year lol, is to buy a new computer! Maybe I'll do that in a few days when the stores reopen! Undoubtably you'll hear about both objectives once they are completed...

Max Payne is remarkable, masterpiece, outstanding with a superb story.

But the no.1 game in my opinion always MAFIA. Max Payne, maybe no.2

Yeah me too! Thats exactly what I like about them. I don't think they're quite as short as people say they are, particularly the first one!

Is it just me or is everyone ignoring the fact that the biggest_loser is looking for love? lol. spread the word! Someone must be found for me!

Max payne 2 is a game like none other. The story alone is just worth a $100 for me.There are just very few games as good as max payne IMO.I like my games to be emotional and thrilling and max payne 2 succeeds on that like few other.

Hey, maybe my opinion on max payne is warped - I beat each one when it was released, but I only had a PS2 :(

At the time those 2 games were realeased, my compurter wasn't half as good as biggest losers. 700Mhz, 128MB ram.... I also had dial-up. So I had to put up with los-res and crappy framerates on PS2. Still had a hell of a time though. I thought the first one was a lot better - that game is a classic.

Gotta love those graphic novels....... Damn I need to pick these games up on the PC!

Both max payne games are my all time favourite games.I played the first one on my PC with low settings at 800x600 but with stable fps. Then i played the 2nd one on the ps2 with a horrendous framerate and graphics but the story was alone enough. Then i got a xbox and got MP2 for it and it was alot better. Then i got a PC and again got MP2 and this time was the best.:D
