No, it's not worth that. I'd pay a fiver for it, tenner at a push. It's very repetative, run, run, mistime jump, fall to death, repeat until bored.

If that is the case then, can you explain why I enjoy X3: Terran Conflict and Mount&Blade over Crysis?[QUOTE="-clippa-"]

When did I ever say game promotion makes it good? Simple fact, Gameplay > Graphics and alot of developers know this.[QUOTE="yobaby2009"][QUOTE="fudgeblood"] Graphics don't make a game good.Cdscottie

Graphics FAIL...This is not actual gameplay... It's not worth if full priced, but you can find it for a really low price these days, it's worth it this way.

I'm just saying that your statement that graphics are the base of any game is highly flawed. Many games, especially from smaller developers have mediocre graphics but yet they get praised as a great game due to gameplay, story, music, and characters. Sure, some games rely on graphics to bring all of that across but it shouldn't and isn't the base of any game. The base of a game is a the primary idea of why it would be fun not is it shiny. So,is it?My friend loaned me a copy that is rubbish (disk scratched) and i was wondering should I get it myself (50$),and don't say:,,There's a great deal on steam...'' or anything like that because I will only get a box which costs 50$.

Been waiting a long time to get Mirrors edge on the PC.And now it's 3 pounds on Steam. Going to snap this offer up later on. Might also get Quartz for 2 pound the missus.

Every time someone says this, I really can't help but feel like punching a hole in the wall because it's like a broken record.
If you don't think graphics help make improve a game and make it better, you're really out of your mind. Mirror's Edge's visuals aid the gameplay with very beautiful and colorful environments. Each shade of color gives you an idea of what the game is throwing at you. Green and Yellow are either calm or puzzle sections, Blue tells you enemies are upcoming, and anything in Red is something you'll need to get to or interact with.
And other than aiding the game, great visuals help immerse you into the gaming world and act as a bonus, allowing you to gawk at the environments as you play, upping the "satisfaction" factor. Do you really think Crysis would have been so successful had it not been so beautiful, or even Killzone 2? And how about Team Fortress 2's visual style? If it just looked like a regular game - lacking most if not all of its personality - do you think it would have been so successful?
Fact is, visuals play an incredibly important role in games. Not only to help it look great and therefore make you appreciate it even more, but also to define a game's personality and, sometimes in the case of games such as Mirror's Edge, act as guidelines as to how you play the game and approach each area. The next time you say graphics don't make a game good or define how a game is seen, be sure and step outside and have a look at what the majority of folks lean towards. If the gameplay is great but the graphics are terrible, chances are the game will flop. Likewise, if the graphics are great but the gameplay is terrible, chances are folks won't stay on it too long (Cryostasis, being a great example). Visuals are equally important as gameplay in today's age, and by now that point should have been painfully obvious to almost anyone.
I paid $50 for it and was happy. Box or no box it's on Steam right now for $5, at any rate that's a rentable copy to see if you wanna pay $50 for the boxed version.

enjoy your $45 plastic box.
Heh, pretty much. Almost makes you sad enough to just want to gift the game to the guy. Maybe this is some form of psychological warfare to get us to do just that. :x
