Got A Gateway DX4640, I made some upgrade changes.

Processor = Intel Duo Core 2 E8500 @ 3.16GHz - Windows Vista 64

MotherBoard = GeForce7100/nForce 630i

Memory = 4GB Total = 2GB x PC2-6400 (400MHz)

Hard Drive = 320GB 7200rpm Serial ATA II/300 hard drive w/ 8MB cache

Video Card = Radeon HD 4850

Power Supply = 650 Watts

Yes. You'll be able to take on all games, except maybe Crysis on medium/high settings.

Just a heads up though. This belongs in the PC Hardware forum. You'll get a lot more participation there.

Seems great! video card might be a little weak for the highest graphics of...say, crysis, but thats a super upgrade - otherwise computer seems great!

4850 is a great card. Its just crysis is realeased before cards could play it good enough...

Yeah you should be good for gaming but running Crysis on high settings, like others have said, may not be possible though.

yeah it should do u just fine for a little while, then after a bit upgrade your motherboard, and GPU, in about 4-8 months..., but you are great for now.

yeah very good machine can max any game and run crysis on high with possibly aa with decent fps. Good vid card , good processor. All good buddy start your gaming!

seriously this is like coming onto a forum and asking "i have all of the latest parts for computers and spent all of this money on my computer..... is it good enough to play games".

why come on a forum and ask this question when you know damn well yourself the computer is fine for gaming. you have one of the best processors, the one of the newest ATI graphics cards, 4gigs of ram which is still kinda overkill... seriously why bother asking. just by the shear fact that your parts are some of the newest on the market should clue you in that you are fine.

if he asks this on the PC hardware forums, he is going to get the same response 50 times...

Oh really? I have 512 memory and Radeon Xpress200 (on board video card) and I can still play games.....from three years ago :(
