i'm going to make my own PC for the first time and i've fooled around and got a few suggestions as to what to get and this is what i have so far, let me know what you think( if you have any input or suggestions):

Motherboard:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=11830BD6873

Processor:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=12200BD0467

Power Supply:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=11180AC2518

Case:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=10370AC8944

Video card:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=11340BD5158

Ram:

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=13220BD7505

By the way i don't need a hard drive, optical drive or OS.

I wanted to know if you think it's a good setup for the price, it's going to cost $625(which is already above my budget of 600)

( also, i'm buying from directcanada because it has free shippingon orders over $300 that should save me a bit)(btw i live in canada)

So if you have any input as to anything better, anything you would change without spending more money overall that would be awesome if you could. I'm pretty sure everything will work, but if i missed something and it's not going to work could you please note that aswell please.

Thanks a lot

Get 2x2GB=4GB of RAM.

Note you will want to purchase 2-3 Antec (or whatever) 120mm fans as the Antec 300 comes with three empty fan slots and not enough fans, especially with a HD4850 radiating all over the inside of your case.

Thats all compatible. If your doing high OC's on your CPU you should get a good cooler for it. But if your not overclocking, or just a little bit, stock is fine.

Other than that its a nice build. I have that motherboard, and if you dont want it to drop the speed of the CPU when its not under load then you can disable the 9th and 11th selections in Advanved Bios Features. Just keep that in mind :D

i was thinking of doing some overclocking, nothing extreme, but maybe not. i just need a few fans, but other than that everyone thinks they are all good parts, nowhere where you would change anything?

thanks again, i really appreciate all the help and info.

it looks great man, that will run all the latest stuff on high/very high. Only thing i would suggest is getting 2x2gb or ram. it will only cost $20 more max.

Thought it was a true mini-case, but it's actually a Mid size case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042

It will be fine.

Yes, it should power everything. It's a good brand so that's good also. Nice build overall too. 9.3/10

antec is an excellent PSU manufacturer. don't worry about that, the hd4850 only needs 430w to power it, so you are good to go, even if you want to switch videocards in the future.

MOBO has PCI-E slots, so it's compatible with your hd4850, it also has socket 775, meaning the processor is suited for the socket. everything else looks good, excellent computer.

if you want to overclock, you would need a better CPU cooler and some additional casefans, i'd advice the arctic freezer pro 7 for your CPU if you are on a budget, or the scythe mugen CPU cooler if you want to go all out. cooler master, revoltec and scythe make good quality casefans.

Those look good. If they do what they say they do, they should move plenty of air.
