So... I just ran 3DMark vantage... and the scores made me think that my GPU Was bottlenecking me...
These are the scores i got;
CPU Score: 19347
Graphics Score: 2850

My setup is;
E6750 @ 3.0Ghz
MSI 8800GTS 640MB OC Edition
2x1GB of 800Mhz G.E.I.L memory
400GB Samsung HD403LJ 7200RPM
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev 3.3 motherboard
400Watt CRS PSU.

That's all i use, No DVD drive or anything atm
My FPS in games is quite good in general, Playing at 1920x1200

uh... I think it is. Try this, download fraps. Then play your most graphically intense game. Max all the settings you can. Then play it at 1920x1200 and at its min resolution. Do you notice a difference? If yes, then your GPU is the bottleneck. The greater the difference the more your GPU is bottlenecking. That's a pretty old GPU and a relatively new CPU, so I'd guess that your GPU is the bottleneck in your system.

Since the meaning of "bottlenecking" is having 1 component holding the rest of the system back.. I'd say yes. Your computer will perform better for benchmarking and gaming with all the same components and a better GPU. An E6750 CAN provide more throughput than an 8800gts 640 can handle. However, I'm also concerned about your power supply. A 400-watt PSU just isn't enough for that video card. Those G80-based cards were power hogs.

Aye, My next upgrade would be my PSU anyway. Considering my price range the Coolermaster Real Power M620 sounds doable, How long would that one hold up in the future? (I'll most likely be going low/mid end AMD/ATI as a next PC)

I looked up the specs for that PSU you're looking at. It looks good! Should handle any single-card, and a mid-range SLI/Crossfire setup as well.

I don't think I worded that quite properly, as it doesn't quite make sense. I meant to say this: Then play your most graphically intense game. Max all the settings you can and play it at 1920x1200. Then play it again at its min resolution. Then maybe at min res with min settings.

Well, I tried CoD MW2 at 1920x1200 (Highest settings, AA/AF enabled) and got an average of 10-15FPS in "No russia" mission. Tried it again on 640x800 at the same settings, Capped at 75, Mostly between 60 and 75 =(

I don't think so. But you can always upgrade to a much more recent card.

And your alienware is bottlenecking the performance you could've gotten for that money. Anyway, About to order the Coolermaster Modular 620W and pick it up this weekend ^_^. (Went with the coolermaster instead of Corsair as i'd like to have a modular PSU considering my case)

^^ This is all that matters - until that changes, I wouldn't get antsy over the GPU just because of 3Dmark.

I couldn't agree more. 3dmark tells me my system is average at-best, but I'd like to see a system that can play my games any better at my resolution.
