k I got a 470 GTX which I want to add to another one I'll buy. I have a Cooler Master 750w80+PSU, will it be enough for the 470 GTX SLI? Also I got an i7 875k CPU, 4 gigs of RAM, and all the other basic stuff. Nothing is OCed. BTW I asked the guys at EVGA (my card's manufacturer) and they said that as long as I don't OC the sys then it's fine for the SLI. Thought? Thanks!

Actually you will be fine even with an OC. A GTX 470 will only use a max of 215w Which means Both gpu's will only draw 430w at max which leaves you 290w left on the 12v rail. Plus your cpu is a 95w cpu even with a good OC you wont be pushing 125w of power.

Yes, like I said two GTX 470's will only use 430w at max which means full 100% use. Then your cpu only a 95w cpu and even you do some overclocking it wont use no more then 125w. Which still leaves you over 100w of head room.

From what I have seen it may be possible to push nVidia GPUs above their rating using Furmark, but you have got so much headroom that it is really no concern, you are good.

I was using a Corsair TX 750 PSU on my current rig with an overclocked i7 920 and 2 GTX 470's in SLI. I never had any problems.
