So it's the new thinner models that just came out? I suppose it would have to be if it is, since I beleive they still havent released the 82 or 92 models at that size, if they ever will.

Well, if there is no banding problems (which seem to plague many of sharps models) then you should be good.

One thing that made me almost catch onto sharp was that while i couldn't tell for certain they had a special name for their backlighting tech and an explanation that led me to beleive that it would be as eye straining to watch as other fluorescently backlight LCD tv's i've had were. That's always been my main issue with them, as they just keep getting brighter and brighter to pop out at stores but once you get them home you not only tone it down but it makes ones eyes sore alot quicker it feels like, especially when watching in the dark.

It was mentioned to me though and it felt like it from watching that Sharps 4-5 phase backlighting system made it a little less intense and a bit more subtle than the other LCD backlights. I know the 64 only has 4 phase where as the 92 has 5 phase, but i dont even know if that really helps since i've never had one at home, but i could faintly tell it may help.

Anyway that's always something i've noticed about the sharps, even if i could never totally verify it.
