It's not a normal NFS game, it's more like GRID.

It sits somewhere between GRID, PGR and more authentic games than arcade.
It's the type of racer that feels makes racing feel real and like a pro.

Personally I have really liked it, playing it with a 360 controller and a little with a wheel, first NFS game I bought in a long while.

You will probably enjoy it if you like grid and nfs, but you should play it with a wheel it just makes the game feel a lot better

I suggest you try the demo?

best racing sim aside Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 - yes it's worth it, Currently waiting for Hot Pursuit. I still think Most Wanted is the best NFS in the series

It's very similar to the epic failed game called Pro Street but that's ok :)

Agree with this, especially with some handling mods. It's a poor mans version of Forza/GT finally on PC. Hoping to heck Shift 2 is even more like Forza or GT, there is no reason PC shouldn't have an enthusiast racer like this.

I really enjoyed this game. One nice thing is that the AI auto adjusts to your car. So you won't have easy wins by just upgrading your car/outclassing your opponents for the given event and on the other hand you won't get stomped into the ground when you like to stick to the factory default equipment because the better AI cars get toned down a bit. Rubberband is in effect but it's implemented very well. I wish all racers had the rubberband tuned like Shift :) Has been some time since I had so much fun playing a racing game. Online play is good and lagfree (atleast for me) and you get good rewards for doing races online that count towards your overall career rating. Controls are indeed a bit odd but if you got a wheel (the game seems to be optimized for wheel usage) or search the net for controller settings you should be fine, too.
