The reason I asked is that I have used Newegg for many years. I like how they do alot of things on the website. Beyond price they have alot of selection, making wishlists is helpful to asses a final price for a build, etc. Where do you guys/gals shop for hardware online? I'd like to get some opinions please so I can broaden my knowledge and see if I'm missing out on anything. Thanks ahead for the input.

Another good site would be tigerdirect.com. Newegg is my favorite though.

IMO they are, never had a problem with Newegg, tried other places such as Amazon because of cheaper prices but ended up canceling the orders due to slow processing.Tigerdirect is pretty good also I've read/heard but as of now I prefer Newegg.

i always found tigerdirect to be sort of overpriced, but every now and then, they do have some sweet deals. Newegg is still my fav.

Newegg is generally the best, but TigerDirect and Buy.com are pretty good. Even Amazon has some pretty good prices, but I'm not sure how their RMA process is. I would buy from Newegg all the time if it weren't for their damn sales tax for CA residents lol.

I love newegg and will not buy any computer parts anywhere else. They have some good electronics too. I can't wait till I move out of CA so I won't have to pay the sales tax. IMOF, I need an external HD so I just ordered an external enclosure and a 750 gb HD they had on sale today, should be here tomorrow.

Can't say if it's the absolute best, but Newegg is one of the better sites to buy from-if you live in the States, that is. (They recently expanded into Canada, but if you live in any other country, you can forget about buying there.) That said, I did buy my 8800 GT from NCIXUS, back when they were a good deal more expensive on Newegg (this was late 2007, when the 8800 GT was new and THE card to have). Pretty quick delivery despite being based up in Canada and all. I wouldn't mind ordering there again if Newegg can't provide me with something, or does so at a higher price.

Yes, Newegg is generally best but Zipzoomfly.com (used to be Googlegear.com) is alsoextremely good.

NewEgg is good, but their quality control seems to be declining due to their large popularity.

Can't go wrong with Newegg. I'll even order something from them even if it's a little higher priced, because I know I'll be getting quality service, no sales tax, and as long as it's coming from it's TN warehouse (it does 9/10 of the time) I'll be seeing the UPS guy's friendly smile the next day.

Edit: And to be honest, I'm willing to bet atleast 70% of their wares relevant to your needs will have free shipping.
