It was ok I guess. The drifting is frustrating as hell, even using a 360 controller. I would wait for the other two games you mentioned before buying this but thats my opinion..

its a good game if you're in to racing in tracks and racing against or using import cars. Personally i liked it, it gives a little more competition than the other need for speed games. the game is based on competing on real world tracks and drifting in real cars. The game is close to gran turismo but theres drifting and goals to be beat while racing or driving in time trials. I would recommend this game to a lot of players who love racing games. If anyone dislikes this games or does not favor the game its understandable that its not the type of game they imagined it would be.

There is a demo but it is pretty crappy compared to the full game. I passed on this game based on the demo. Months later got bored of Forza3 and tried the Shift crack. 3 days later I bought the legal PC NFS Shift game.

With mods, this game is definitely a poor mans Gran Turismo or Forza but in a good way. Love all the things and bonuses that happen during a race. AI is a bit crazy but adds to the fun. Tons of mods to customize the game to any taste.

As a circuit racer I recommend buying, esp. now since its only $30 and highly configurable.

Its a Great game I say. (Yall do know this is a several month old post we have revived lol?)

Biggest problems were handling of cars was weird, and AI acted weird at times causing major pile ups on the first turn.

These were fixed with some great mods such as the AI overhaul, AI competition mod .02b, sharp mod, REAL mod REAL GT mod, and the camera cockpit mod.

Infact, just 2 days ago I posted a new need for speed shift gameplay video to showcase some of the mods.

I'm using the competition AI mod, REAL GT mod, and camera cockipit mod while racing with a golf gti vehicle.

http://www.racedepartment.com has all the shift mods made. Its good stuff. Its definitely become a hidden gem of a game on PC I say. Not the best amount of cars or tracks but the actual racing is intense and keeps you on your edge of your seat throughout.
