This is hell. Bought Titanfall on PC yesterday, and haven't be able to play at all. Whether I try to play the campaign or multi-player, I always get this message 'Finding teammates...0results' even after waiting for 10+ minutes. Yeah, I reside in a third world country where I'm probably one of the very few Titanfall players. But still, is there no way to connect to servers outside my country? I don't mind high pings as long as I can just play it. The match-making is so crappy. I wasn't even able to search for servers manually so that I can join some game, ANY game. I just want to play this damn thing because I paid my hard earned money for it. I was skeptical about a multi-player only shooter due to match-making issues, and also because it is being published by EA (who care two hoots about their customers). But I was tempted to buy it after seeing youtube videos and reading positive reviews about it. Now, how the hell do I play this damn game? If EA are hell bent on trying to find teammates only within the player's country (which means I'm unlikely to find someone), will I be able to trick the game by using a VPN service? Or is Origin also region-locked like Steam?

P.S. NEVER will I buy any game from EA again, especially if its multi-player only. Please help me in whatever way you can, or else my hard earned money is gone down the drain, with this piece of crap occupying 50 gigs on my HDD.

I just played a match and it was full. I don't think you are only confined to play with players in your country as I've played with people outside the country where I live.

I went to their site and found this: http://help.ea.com/en/article/why-cant-i-find-a-match-in-titanfall-on-pc/

Hope that works for you.

I bought it a few weeks ago and didn't have much trouble finding games but I only played it for a few days until DS2 came out so I might have just been experiencing post-sale player increase.

I checked out that link, but it didn't help because I'm indeed running the latest versions of both Origin and Titanfall.

Totally frustrated. I buy a brand new game, and it doesn't friggin' allow me to play it. What the hell.

Yeah, obviously US players won't have an issue because I'm sure that 1 in every 2 gamers over there play Titanfall.

No, it says 'Data Center: South East Asia'. By the way, I just tried playing the game by using a VPN and setting my location to United States, and I was able to play a couple of matches without much of an issue (although I was at a disadvantage due to high ping). I tried an Australian server too (again through VPN), and it worked fine. So I think the only way I can play this game is by using VPN. Thankfully, Origin isn't region-locked, like Steam.

That really seems the way sometimes.... Game comes out its big until the next big thing comes out and its a ghost town.... That is a huge thing with consoles.....

It's good that they have local datacentres or else the ping put you at a complete disadvantage.

I'm in Australia and I have no issues finding a match, unless I play at times where everyone is at work/school etc.

Problem is they changed the way matchmaking works. When it launched it was a lot quicker to find matches, but with the new system you have to wait for a bit.

I liked the part where you blamed the publisher for what was most likely the developers design plan.

Just change your data center to a more popular region like US or Europe. Pings might be bad but you should get a game at least. Also campaign has less players than the normal MP, which is a problem by design.

So you you suppose it was just a co-incidence that EA was voted the worst company in America for two consecutive years? Haven't you witnessed the real mess that was Battlefield 4 multi-player (although its just about playable now)? EA has this tendency to interfere in the creative freedom and strategies of its developers. So I'm pretty sure that EA had a major part to play with this issue of Titanfall too.

Yeah, I got to know that now. Earlier, the data center info at the bottom right of the screen was not even clickable, so I thought I was confined to the nearest data center. Turns out it was a glitch, and now I'm able to choose a data center after repairing game files. The pings are quite high, but for some reason I'm not finding it that much of an issue to compete with players having lower pings. Ping is a major issue in Counter-Strike games, where having a lower ping is more beneficial than having better skills. I was expecting the same for Titanfall, but I'm pleasantly surprised that is not the case.

You clearly have no idea how games are made. If you think all those bugs were in BF4 because of the publisher then I feel bad for you. EA doesn't write code for the game, in game bugs and buggy servers and whatnot are all the fault of DICE. The only blame you can put on EA for BF4 is if they set the release deadline too early which is possible but there is no way to know for sure.

EA was voted the worst company because americans are idiots. Out of all the companies out there that are corrupt as can be, they chose a video game publishing company as the worst. It's actually a very sad representation of the population of this country. I'm not defending some of the ridiculous decisions EA have made and their failures, but worst company period? Yea right, people need to get their heads out of their asses if they think a video game publishing company is the worst company out there.

It's a pretty decent game actually. It's fun to play, especially with friends, and runs well on most hardware. Just like a COD on Steroids. What I see though is missed potential. They could have done a lot with a SP Campaign and Co-op Campaign.

For a MP game it is indeed fun with friends. Honestly, this is the only game I played online in a while. It would be pretty dope to see an actual co-op campaign.

It is pretty mediocre IMO. I got bored a couple weeks ago, so I rented it for my 360 and was left very unimpressed. Plus on the PC as others have said it is VERY poorly optimized and runs like crap on hardware that any other Source engine game would have no trouble doing 1080p @ 60fps. In 3-4 hours of playing it I saw all the usual CoD behavior and then some - hiding in corners with a shotgun while cloaked, camping roof tops with a sniper rifle while cloaked, grenade spam, etc... The low player counts just magnifies the typical CoD problems even further - half the time you are left roaming the maps looking for actual players to shoot the other half of the time you are getting 1-shotted by titans. And if most of the other team already has titans, have fun farming bots because that is all you can do for points if you don't like driving the titans. I saw nothing that has made me reconsider my opinions of this game at all.

...Ugh man comes in playing a game on a VPN and complains it doesn't work right.... Really? Lol. People these days are just ridiculous. If your in china or a country with similar internet laws and firewalls expect not to be able to play a mainly north American online game at all. Hell as someone who has to use a VPN to surf the web expect to never play any multiplayer game ever.

I'm jumping in as soon as I download it. I played the beta and I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it's badly optimized, it ran pretty smooth on my system (FX-6300, GTX 660) on high settings. It's not the best looking game, never ment to be. It's a fast paced action game, little noobish perhaps but we're not all diehard fps pro's.

Guys guys... need to check some things before commenting. The game runs fine for the majority of gamers. It has one map that stutters for SOME people but most run it without issues. Of course on PC there are so many different configurations that you get issues.

As for points, I sometimes run around the map without even using my Titan and get top of the table above people that used a Titan all round. What this game does well is balance Pilot vs Titan. 1 or 2 good pilot players can take down a Titan easily (with the right weapons). Points isn't just about kills in Titans. (unless you only play DM)

Of course not everything is good. The bad side is that some weapons are NOT balanced. The shotgun is still too OP, especially with leadwall. Also, the new matchmaking system just doesn't work as good as the old one. It's a good idea on paper, but they need to refine it in practice.

I found it got old very fast, I played it for like two days and stopped feeling the urge to go back. I hop in for a round now and then but it just feels hollow, which was my initial feeling based on the beta. I probably should have trusted my initial impressions.

At least I only paid like 30 dollars for it, it really does feel like a thin spread offering for 60 bucks. Say what you will about cod (I usually say bad things) but you get a lot of content for your money with those games.

@funkyzoom: There is no need to use VPN to play at other server other than SEA/ south east asia, all u need is to press 'Data server: South East Asia' at the lower right bottom corner to change to other region of servers like US,Europe, japan, australia etc....
