Is or Is not Alan Wake coming?

to PC that is.

Amazon has it listed for a release date of May 2010

The answer basically is "you know as much as anyone else does about Alan Wake on the PC". The general consensus appears to be that Microsoft will do it's damnedest to keep Alan Wake exclusive to the Xbox 360. Times have changed and Microsoft now consider the PC a "competitor" to their beloved lil Xbox so they are not going to do the PC any favours if they can help it.

There is always a chance Alan Wake may come to the PC, but then there is always a chance you may win the lottery. I personally think you have a better chance at the lottery myself.

If MS has complete rights to Alan Wake, no way it will come to PC. If Remedy is legally able to find a PC publisher for it, I would guess it would come eventually.Captain__Tripps

MS also had the rights for Mass Effect on the 360 and EA published the PC version some time later so there is still hope someone else will publish it on the pc after some time. And if it's in the had of MS then wave goodbye to Alan Wake for PC cause they sure as hell won't publish it for the pc and we all know why.

It is more about the principle of the thing, it is just another example of Microsoft stabbing PC gaming in the back to prop up it's loss making console. If memory serves Alan Wake was show cased on the PC and for a while it was going to be a major title for the PC. Then Microsoft seeing that Sony is snipping at their heels decide the PC can take another one for the team and screw PC gaming over.

As for the PC haveing enough games exclusive ......... erm care to name them ? Off the top of my head I can only think of Starcraft 2 this year. Unless we are talking about MMO's which I am not interested in.

At least with PS3 they aren't stealing developers from the PC and then NOT releasing the game on the PC. Halo was originally for the PC, they took it and gave PC gamers a lame port. Now they won't even give ports and what makes you think I will give my money to microsoft.

Quantic's dream nomad soul did not do well, as for fahrenait? It was created with consoles in mind, the ps2 version did well not the pc version!!

Guirella made a game for ps2 that did not do well, with sony founding the development of killzone 2, it was definetly a pure win!!

Ms however that started by the pc, made the developers of Alan wake to drop the pc version and develop for the x360!!! Its like ms stating that they dont care about pc and they will do anything in their power to fight the ps3 by providing more exclusive games for the x360 even if those games were exclusives meant for the pc!!!

But then again, you cant blame MS for picking gamedevelopers that they know their games wont be sucessfulll on pc and putting them to develop games for consoles where they will be sucessful!!! Just MS realizing that pc gaming is a lost cause i guess...

Both incorect and random...95% of games are for win only and not for mac nowadays which sadly makes windows=pc gaming platform. I use the word sadly because it wil be nice to have an alternative and not rely exclusively on MS. Just like choosing between ati or nvidia, amd or intel...but sadly there is only one Os company that supports 98% of all games!!!!

How the hell pc has the right to have exclusives from sony and nintendo? They are both console based companies and are founded by people who deny pc gaming over console gaming. Its not like sony or ms nintendo ever bothered with pc. But MS practicly made pc gaming possible, If anyone...MS is the only from those 4 gaming companies that has both the right and the obligation to give exclusive games to windows since they are the ones who made them!!!

Instead of that however, we were getting very late ported releases in Os that is not needed to play the game, like halo 2, and if that was not enough, now they cancel a long time in development pc exclusive to make an exclusive for their precious x360!! With that logic.... you are right lets ask games from sony, perhaps they port a psp exclusive to pc :P...or from nintendo, but i guess its gonna require a wii remote to play :lol:
