This is the integrated graphics card that came with my Laptop. When I scan my system at SystemRequirementsLab, it says I have like 1400 MB of video memory...but I can't even watch 720p movies without slowdown; same for games...In Left 4 Dead, for example, I have to put everything to LOW to play smoothly. What exactly is the point of "1400 MB video memory" if - practically - it does nothing?

Id say that it says that because its shared memory, but im no computer expert. Yeah it must be shared, that's why it shows so much. It's a very weak graphics chip otherwise. You might want to try updating your video drivers, that may help with some of the stuttering with video playback and maybe a bit with games.
