he made the news up, likely based on his own experience with gtaIV on his pc. But I doubt Rockstar consults with him personally when deciding to bring games to the pc.

Rockstar themselves have said they have no plans for RDR on PC. They even re-stated this about 2 or 3 months ago. And we already know that the engine is incredibly unstable on PC, because GTA IV uses the same engine as RDR. While a lot of us want RDR on PC, it would be a mistake for Rockstar in the long run. It would get them more hate than love once it released and people tried it, and saw how badly optimized it was. They've made it obvious that they would have to almost completely rewrite the engine, since their updates to "fix" GTA IV have only made it worse in the long run.
Hmmm but i am despirately waiting for that game :( hope it makes to PC

i think they will port rdr to pc by seeing the number of pc gamers wanting this game :/

You only hear about the bad experiences. You don't hear about the many that had no issues.
It ran fine for me at medium settings while still looking and running significantly better the the console versions and only 2 crashes in 20 hours of play one of which was due to overclocking my gpu to high.
I doubt that the reason RDR hasn't yet been released to PC is that RAGE/EUPHORIA is not PC compatible, as Max Payne 3 will be using both engines and R* announced that it will come on PC.
Doubt it, it sold very well so they dont really have a reason to port over to pc.

What kind of logic is that? "Oh, we've already made a lot of money from this game so we'll just stop there." So you're saying that they didn't make money from L.A. Noire, so they released the PC version!
I must be the only person who didn't fancy what Red Dead Redemption offered. Sure it was fun at the beginning but that all just came crashing down on me. I got sick of riding around towns on my horse and completing the repetitive-like missions again and again. I just gave up on it..
On the other hand i couldn't be happier for LA Noire finally coming to the PC. I have waited for this game for a long time and still remember the disappointment i felt when it wasn't planned for the PC. I almost pushed myself into buying it for the consoles, but i'm so glad i waited. This is a day one for me

Yes, but when you have a high number of people who bought your product who cant get it to run, even with good specs, you did a bad job.
