Is Starcraft still playable today?

People around this site specifically claim that its a great RTSor whatever. I found it in the bargain bin for around 8 bucks but it looks really outdated, so is it still playable even if I picked it uptoday?

Yep, although way more people in S. Korea play it.

That's the thing about Blizzard games. They don't shut down. You can even play D1 still.madden927

Yes, it's still avery playable game. Even if you can't find anyone to play online, the single player campaign for the original and the expansion are great. And I would definitely pick it up with SC2 on the horizon, or you may wind up in the dark as to the events taking place in the game if it continues down the same story line (and it better). And to Unstoppable_1, totally agree with the sig, hope we get to see a third Deus Ex more along the lines of the original. Invisible War wasn't bad, but it wasn't Deus Ex.Crzy1

Can't find anyone to play Online? I guarentee this RTS still has more online players than any other RTS out there save for Warcraft 3.
