Is the EVGA SC version of the GTX quiet, as in twin frozr III quiet, or is it fairly loud? This is the main deciding point for me as well as the warranty because I will probably be keeping this card for 4-5 years. Oh yeah, I won't be overclocking this card, at all.

Is it the reference cooler model? I have the non-sc (exact same!! except 2yr warranty :() If so than they are pretty quiet and when the card does get audible is actually bearable b.c the hum is consistant and not whiney at all. Is not going to be dead silent if thats what your looking for but if your an average joe like me ( I actually somewhat hate fan noise) than is fine. Afterall the heatsink consist of vapor cooling chamber.

I own 2 570 SC's in SLi and have been VERY impressed with the noise level. (This is going on the assumption that you have a decent case for moderate noise suppression)....They are silent during most operations and gaming and only barely perceptible even when playing intensive games like Crysis 2 or Witcher 2 Maxed (and then...only if the sound is down to nuthin.

My case (HAF 942) makes more noise with the fans than the card itself. It is a pretty silent card.

This, if a new console generation is around the corner (which it probably is with Wii U, and next year the other 2 will be announced), then current cards might not be that long term durable

Okay so with my HAF 932 it should be pretty much silent? Also, with the 5 year thing, I might upgrade to sli or even go up to a 580. COuld I do an EVGA SC with a MSI twin frozr III SLI or do they have to be the same brand?

As long as they're the same GPU, the manufacturer doesn't matter.

Alright Nintendo striked first with hd48xx counterpart. So we can expect ps4/x720 (lol) to be even better.

All this means is that console games will finally push for graphics and in turn affect pc gaming, capiche? The gtx 570 can last you 4 years, but you would be playing at outdated 1080p 2d (future) at med settings.

Nah. Its goes: EVGA GTX 570 (Reference Clocked(732/3800)) 570 SC (Superclocked(797/3900)) 570 SSC (Super-Super Clocked) 570 FTW (For the Win) 570 SDD (Super-Dee-Duper Clocked with a big Purple Sticker!!!!) ...ok..I made that last one up. As for the dude posting about the FTW. He lyin!! Or at least Im 99% sure he is. EVGA has NOT released an SSC OR FTW version of the 570, only the 570, 570 SC and 570 DS HD.

Good for you. Its a great looking card. and I hope you enjoy it. But do keep in mind other things people have said. A new generation is coming and maybe sooner than we all think but if you want to keep maxing games then that card won't last 4-5 years. Im guessing about 2 before it starts to struggle

Yeah thats TOTALLY NOT an SSC FTW. Its clocked at a mere 797mhz. Its the regular SC version.

It IS overclocked but it is not the FTW. In your link it even says "superclocked" not FTW. SC exists. SSC and FTW do not in the 570 Variety. Sorry.

Edit- To clear it up I gave ol EVGA Customer Support a ring....asked about the 570 FTW. there is a 580 FTW but no 570 in SSC FTW.

Ill answer once more.....just to help remove the mis-information. yep the box says SC....SSC AND FTW. If you will notice, SC is highlighted in Yellow while SSC and FTW are Grayed Out.......Why? Because it is an SC card, NOT the SSC or FTW. They all are great cards but alas, no SSC or FTW 570s exist...yet.

new consoles are known to be put together with the cheapest parts the manufacturer can find at the time of development with decent performance. (check out the video card equivelant of the xbox 360 back in 2005, it was a $100 card. If the same thing happens next console gen (and i predict it will) AND if they unveiled their new consoles this year, i would predict that AT MOST the consoles graphics cards would not exceed a gtx 550ti $120 consumer but im sure it would be much cheaper when buying in bulk and whatever deals the consoles make with the video card company . (anything more expensive than that would be pushing it, because they need to keep consoles at around the 250 to 350 dollar range to be viable).

So basically there, so far, is no SSC or FTW edition of the GTX 570 from EVGA. ANd it was released over half a year ago. Darn, that saddens me.

Also, I think you wrote in white and I really can't read it, lemme try selecting them though.
