Incase you don't know, the b50 is the x2 550 black edition unlocked. I have it 3.3ghz stable with that video card. Just wondering if it's a bottleneck at all?

all cards bottleneck with all cpu's.. heck a voodoo 5000 ( a ---- old card from the day of the pentium I) is bottlenecked by a core i5 2500k.. (i can proove this btw)

it wont go away. it all comes down to how big the bottleneck is. in yiour case it wont be very large.. id rest easy

okay core i7 2600k + voodoo 6000 (modified) vs intel core 2 duo e8500 (oc'd) + voodoo 6000 (same mod) in 3d mark 01

http://en.expreview.com/2012/01/20/voodoo-5-6000-and-i7-2600k-sparkle/20547.html

gpu score rose 477 points not enough to give a ---- over but it did rise under these conditions she beat the best system one could get during the gf4 series day using the mx440

Way more variables than that. He changed the chipset, used a pci-e adapter, different RAM, etc. And I'm pretty sure 3dmark01 is supposed to measure CPU performance.

er i really dont think so. 'specially seeing as you think the voodoo 5000 was around the time of a pentium 1. it actually came out just after the pentium 3 if i remember right.
