Is the head box in CS:S significantly bigger than the model's head?

-So been curious, this has been a dispute with my friends for a while on how they complain how the head box is twice as big as the character models head or something. I'm not talking about not forming to the character models face perfectly I'm talking about a head box within reason compared to the character model. Just curious.

Thanks

Idk. Seems pretty easy to get a headshot in that game. I have been playing 1.6 lately though.

It isn't. But the head box does go outside of the model's head because hitboxes are...well...boxes and they don't fit the shape of the model. It's slightly bigger than the head model.

No, but it's not exact. If you try to shoot at the gap between someone's chin and their neck, your likely going to get a headshot.

Mostly, that's just the easiest argument to make to defend someone's inability to get a good score.
