After 2 months of playing and reaching lvl60 with my warrior, I realized that WoW isn't really for me mainly because of one factor. I cant seem to stay focused in the raids and dungeons, I always start to get really tired, even if it's in the afternoon! This make me a pretty bad tank. So I tired going into PvP, and I reached lvl30 doing AB and WSG, it was fun, but I checked out how hard it was gonna be to actually get S1 - S3 gear.... Ugh n then I'm talkin in my guild saying I'm a resto shaman hoping to do some arena once I hit 70 n then everyone's saying that resto shamans are the worst healers in arena!! Ugh I wasted all that time...sorry WoW but I just can't seem to stay wanting to play!

I think the most common reason is because if you don't quit it, it steals your life. Also it gets repetitive.

Lucky you.. I played for two years (not even hitting lvl 60 til after BC) off and on just to realize the game was way to gear dependent and there was way too much time-consuming grinding to get gear and anything else for Endgame.. I said forget it and canceled my account not too long ago. I play Age of Conan now.. Gear doesn't matter quite as much and the FFA PvP is just amazing! I'm never looking back to WoW ever again now..

I have moved on to AOC and i am enjoying it VERY much. WoW is just a huge grindfest/geargrind in comparison. Grinding honor points, world pvp is dead, person with better gear wins, grinding rep, grinding dailies (sorry guys, doing dailies is just a masked version of grinding gold). Yes I have done all of this a lot, I have done it once and im not doing it again with the expansion or new teir of content. I have played wow since a bit after release, PRE BWL, when no one has cleared MC! I have plenty of experience

Ill admit i did have a BLAST playing the game a lot, but it faded away and the game is just grinding that i have already done and i miss the good old days. I miss Ultima Online days more actually. AOC has my interest locked in for the moment.

If you enjoy playing the class, you should try it out in arena, or whatever, whether or not it's currently the best at a particular role. I tend to pick the classes that are supposedly terrible for pvp and I still enjoy them quite a bit.

As far as your warrior goes, maybe tanking isn't for you? Or maybe just not warrior tanking? I can just recommend trying some other classes till level 20 or so and seeing what you like. Honestly, I thought the game was pretty boring on my first two characters, which was a warrior followed by a paladin. I got the warrior to 60 pre-TBC, and deleted the paladin after getting sick of it. After that, I made a mage and have been loving playing it since.

Maybe the game just isn't for you, but before deciding to quit, you might see if something else might be more fun. There is a grind element to the game, especially at level cap. That's going to be the same for all MMOs. But there are some things that might make the game more fun. I don't do dailies on my main anymore except to scrape together money for raid consumables, gems and what not. I really only raid on him lately, and that's about 9 hours a week of game time, if that. I spend the rest of the time in game leveling an alt here and there.

Why do you need to ask people if the reason why you are quiting is a common one? You don't need a common reason to quit, you can quit because a magical leprichaun that lives in your toilet, threathen to kill you with a sword made out of muffin dough!

resto shaman are not too good, that is true. the only good comps ( when i say good comps i mean ones u can get gladiator with) are warrior shaman ( the shaman needs to be amazing , go to warcraftmovies and look up GC) and for 3v3 warrior shaman druid / priest you might want to switch to enhancement or elemental for arena ( ele for 2346 5v5 team)

ont he burnout topic, yes things do get repetive, my guild was top 100 in the US and it jst died 1 month ago, after raiding for 5 hours a night 5 days a week ive enjoyed this month off and am contemplating getting back to raiding, altho playing FPS and watching a lot more anime, not to mention spending time with friends has been great.

I left main because I was bored. The endless kill quota quests and body part collection quests gets old after awhile. It doesn't help that professions and dungeons are built on repetition too.

It was fun smashing things with my paladin while it lasted.

Guild Wars is more my fair.

When I quit, I specified the reason "too addictive; will steal life."
