Is there a quallity issue with Corsair Dominator Ram

I've just had one of my sticks of Corsair Dominator Ram die in the last 6 months. I'm wondering is there a quality issue with the Corsair Dominator Ram? (I have noticed that the sticks run extremly hot compaired to normal DDR2.)
