Is there a way to download steam games onto a different hard drive?

Currently, I have all of my games on an SSD, but I'm running out of room for future games so I was wondering if there's a good way to make steam direct future downloads to my HDD while still being able to play the games I have right now from my SSD. I've done research, but I'm getting mixed answers. I just want to get opinions from you guys first before doing anything. Thanks in advance!

I don't believe there's a way to point Steam to any folder other than the current install folder (usually C - Program Files / x86 - Steam), so here's what I like to do. Get some other hard drive and backup your whole steamapps folder from the Program Files - Steam folder, that way you don't have to re-download anything. Once you've backed up all the gcf files, the common folder, sourcemod folder and (your user name) folder. Feel free to uninstall any lesser-played games (they'll still be listed in your Library but grayed out) - to make room for anything new you're wanting to play. Keep in mind it's a lot faster to just copy the steamapps folder to a new drive rather than using the in-steam backup game option.

I use Steam Mover. A small app which detects my Steam folder and allows me to move game folders to the SSD and set a junction point to games I'm playing atm.

Yeah I think you can just move all the installed stuff to another folder/hd. Steam will detect it in some way. If you want to install some game on your SSD afterwards for some reason, just use Steam Tool: http://www.stefanjones.ca/steam/

I actually saw that when I was searching, but I didn't know if it'd still work due to the method being kinda old.
