Is there any AMD Phenom SLI motherboards?

or what motherboards support sli if there are no motherboards that have it

like for AM2+

because I was thinking about maybe SLIing 8800GT someday.

so what motherboard

From what ive found theres not many amd motherboards that support SLI . The ones that do only support x2 processors and is also only AM2 NOT AM2+

AM2+ processors are backwards compatible with AM2 motherboards, as will be AM3 processors. You might be best served waiting for socket AM3 to drop if you're enthusiastic about SLI / performance mobos, simply because AM3's support of DDR3 makes it more future-proof, but that's just speculation on my part.

You could easily use an AM2 mobo going forward though, since, arguably the DDR3 / dual-power plane revisions are minor in comparisson to going SLI, in terms of performance gains.

not yet but a 780a mobo will be released soon that allows sli on an am2+ mobo. not sure who makes it. maybe asus not sure. maybe DFI
