Is there any games in this category???

Iva always wanted to play a game that is a mix of total war with something like europa universalis.

As in total war the only thing is that i dont like the turn based strategy in the game and would like it to have a little more emphasis on the goings on outside of the battlefield and get more involved in the deplomacy, economy and social aspects.

Does anyone know of any games which are like this that are also historic real time strategies based when there is no guns etc.

i no its a big ask but i was just wondering??

Metal Gear Solid, it focuses on the political and social effects of war, and has alot to do with genetic engineering, pretty intense and complicated story. But its for the PS1. Im pretty sure there was a PC release though, but it may be harder to find.

I would suggest both Civilzation 4 and Dawn of Discovery(also known as Anno 1404 outside of the U.S.)

Knights of Honor.

Lord of the Realm 3 might fit the bill like before. You may want to consider a few more economically focused games like Dawn of Discovery (although theres little in the way of politics).
