Well it its a simple question, Have you ever built or bought a computer that had a part in it that, to put it simply sucked and will NEVER buy from AGAIN!

I had one on my latest build. It was my computer case from Apevia, big, sturdy, cool lookin and lots of places for vents all things you should look for in a computer case but within one day of building it one of the fan lights goes out and the thermometer and LCD screen light never worked. I checked my connections 3 times and still never worked. The USB tray on the front is cheaply made and i had to fix it twice since it kept breaking off from the case.

Well thats the first time i got a bad part... Whats yours?

Overclockers.co.uk stiffed me when I ordered a cpu from them and it had bent pins, they refused to give me a replacement or a refund, arguing that I must have bent it when i installed it. In the end I had to bend the pins back into shape myself. Never buying from them again, and after searching the internet I have since found lots of disgruntled customers.

XFX

They don't seem like they know how to make a stable factory overclocked card. I've bought two cards from them, I won't be buying from them again. Atleast definetly not a overclocked card.

I'm not really the "once burned, twice shy" kind of guy. Just because numerous companies sold me stuff that didn't work doesn't really mean that they are bad in the big picture. Like, I got bad PSU's from Enermax and Antec, but that doesn't mean I'll never buy another PSU from them. I got this triple rail 650w Antec that gave me a neat little light show when it kicked the bucket, but the reason it did are two fold, the design (tri-rail) isn't good to begin with so when a surge hit my network it, quite literally, blew up! If I need another PSU, for whatever reason, I will still consider Antec, I just won't buy another triple rail configuration. I've had bad MSI motherboards, but have had great experiences with others and a video card I bought from them. Every parts maker screws up engineering designs from time to time or maybe something just went wrong at the factory and it was just an accident. I'm not going to hold something personal against an impersonal entity. That, to me, is just ridiculous. Ok, there are some bad makers, PC Chips comes to mind, so there are a few. Though, I'm sure there are more than a few of those PCChips mobos floating around out there working flawlessly. I have an XFX video card and my network is almost exclusively netgear and I think both those brands are great, so I really don't know what you guys are talking about.

ZOTAC. I have a shoddy graphics card that always give me moving bars on my games and they did nothing to fix it. Looks like I need to save for a 5850

Saitek? Really? May I ask why? I don't want to sound like a customer representative for them but they have always been excellent quality for me and others, and, owning a few Saitek products myself, I would like to know..

Issues with A-DATA memory, huh? I haven't had any problems. Good performance for what they offer from my experiences.... OCZ memory on the other hand, I've had issues with their's. 3 different sets over 3 different MBs (ASUS, ASRock and Gigabyte). The memory just wasn't compatible, for some dumb reason even with all the timings and voltage set to the factory specs, the memory would constantly cause BSODs. I gave up on them. I haven't had issues with A-DATA or Corsair.

PcChips - just low end, low quality stuff

Crucial - RMA'd 2 sets of Ballistix. Never even installed the second pair I got from them. I purchased Patriot RAM after the second set of Ballistix failed. The brand new Ballistix are still sealed in the retail blister pack. I want to sell them but not to anyone I know. I feel like I'd be selling them an inferior product.

Seagate? Really?

Seagate messed up big time with their infamous "7200.11 epidemic". Although they did fix it later on, regaining trust is much more difficult than losing it.

Their cases always have that "could have been" feel to them, had a CM690 it was horrible to keep my cables tidy and the stock cooling was rather load and the overall feel of the case was cheap. Im currently suffering with my temporary Coolermaster 335 its a low end case but argh my generic Shinobi had much better cooling and costs 1/3 less. Their newer ones do seem a lot better i.e the Storm and HAF series cases.

Yeah, I hear you about the CM 690's poor cable management. Tried so very hard to sort out cables, but with the odd sheet metal orientation between the motherboard tray and the side panel below it, I have a huge knot of cables in the bottom of the case. I'm debating forking out the cash for a 690 II, or even a Lancool PC-K62.

Personally I have have good times with coolmaster. My case works well, was cheap thanks to newegg sales, and in the 4 years the fans still run nicely. (Centurion 5 CAC-TO5-Uw)

My main problems are low name video card companies like sparkle, zotac, diamond, powercolor, etc. Everytime one a friend gets one due to a newegg sale, they end up getting pissed off 3 months later when the fans go out, or the card just dies.

Same here. I've got the CM590, and it holds a ridiculous amount of stuff considering it's a mid tower case... Dual power supplies, SLI setup, liquid cooling setup with dual 12"x5" transmission coolers, 11x 120mm fans, and 2x LCD fan controllers along with 2x 120mm fans and a DVD burner in the front. Even with all of that room in the front, they managed to fit a front panel for audio, USB, and firewire. And my unused cables tuck nicely behind the motherboard frame. I love CoolerMaster cases personally....

I think it may just be that i have above average standards for this sort of thing but personally i find all they're gear to be very cheaply made, when i buy perphs i either want them as cheap as possible (OEM) or top quality Saitek is neither of those.

I've had trouble setting up one of their routers before, it kept forgeting the settings and dropping out,but they're now owned by Cisco so there shouldn't be any problems with them anymore.
