That would easily overclock a Athlon 64 x2 4200+? I'm new to overclocking but would like to.

My comp's specs are:

500W PSU

2 GIG ram

XP

crap video card that I'm replacing today with a 8800GT.

Gigabyte S3 MoBo.

any help is appreciated.

The S3 mobo has an Nforce chip doesn't it?

If it does, then download Ntune http://www.nvidia.com/object/sysutility.htmlwith it youmay overclock both GPUs and CPUs and RAM.


As you are new to OC'ing, just remember to be careful.
