[H]ard|OCP tested the 500W version and they said the power supply literally began to melt at high loads. Spend the extra money for a high-quality power supply. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003&Tpk=corsair%20450w

If you have the money I would go for one of these for sure, better than the one you listed by a mile -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004or this for some extra juice( it has a really good value because of the sale compared to the 550W, so I would highly suggest that you get this one) -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005

I've got one of these

It works real good, makes very little noise, and is a joy to work with. They do a number of different models so you should be able to find one that matches your power needs.

Yeah, I have the 750W silencer from them. I suggested the corsair though because of excellent quality and the sale price on the 650W right now especially is an excellent buy if you ask me

Yes the Corsairs look good. What you should look for in a PSU is a 12+V rail with lots of amps and efficiency > 80%. Even better if 80+ Certified. More efficiency = lower electric bill. Save a few bucks :)
