looks good but can any one confirm this is a good deal?
it isIf you're going to get a pre-built at least do a bit of research beforehand. PC's really aren't all that expensive, you just have to know what parts to buy. As others have stated, building your own PC is a great alternative, particularly for those of us on a budget. Not only can you save a lot of money by purchasing your parts from online sellers like Newegg.com, but you also have a much better upgrade path since literally every component can be replaced. This makes the long term costs of PC gaming much more affordable. If you're willing to spend a couple hours doing some research, go to the PC hardware forums and have them recommend you a PC you could build for around $700 or so. You can also check this guide to get some ideas: http://www.anandtech.com/guides/showdoc.aspx?i=3486
EDIT: But if you don't want to build your own PC (which I can understand, not everyone feels comfortable handling expensive hardware or spending the time to research PC hardware), there are definitely better deals. I've heard good things about Avadirect, you might want to check them out. I would go with an E7300 or E7400 CPU, a 9800GT or 4830 GPU, 4GB RAM, Vista 64-bit, 640GB Western Digital HDD, etc. Have the guys in the PC hardware forum help you out.
