Not sure if its good for gaming but I was going to buy that same TV yesterday. Instead I bought a Samsung 23" LCD with 8ms, and 4000:1. Damn, I love this TV. Just right for the size room Im using. Have'nt played any PS3 or Xbox360 on it because I dont have eirther. Looks damn good on my PS2 in Game Mode.

Lg is a pretty good company. In my opion now I'm not a tech of any sorts buy this is just what I have read about. I'm pretty certain that the ration is sort of low you may want like something in the 1000:1 range. I have a vizio and it is a 32" I have a 12x12 bed room and sit 6' away from it and at the moment I have my xbox 1 and my pc and satilite dish and dvd hooked up to it. I know you said a gameing tv and this works as a monitor as well so I do play like Halo and those kind of games on my xbox and on the pc I play like C&C and SC on it wich I may add they both look wonderful I feel like a commander looking from above or zoomed in and I can see all of the deteals and my tv is hd and it has a 1200:1 and to me when the sharp is on high it really looks nice very bright. Well good luck on finding your self a tv for what you have. I do plan on getting a 360 eventually.
