Is this a good laptop for gaming

Hi im getting a laptop from xoticpc.com it will have 2.4Ghz quad core processor, 4GB Ram geforce 9800GT hard drive 200GB 7200rpm. i can afford this model by tuesday but i could get the duel 9800 gt SLi or theres an Ati quadro fx1600 i think which is 45 dollers more. can you help me with making my final decision as i would like to order in a couple of days. cheers

Dont get the quadro, and if it was me I would get the single 9800GT because two of them would consume way too much power, generate too much heat, and your battery life would be next to none.

As the previous poster said, a SLI arrangement will suck the life out of your battery and the quadro is a card for professional artists/software. Here's a link to a great laptop graphics article that should help you decide.

Why don't you just get a desktop and save some money? Laptops suck for gaming.

Maybe because he pretty much cant in his situation? if your always on the move a laptop would be your best choice.

yea the thing is i will mianly keep it in my house except for occasionly taking it to college its just i have a big family and little space to keep it so i decided to get a laptop as i find them more personnel especially in a busy house
