You know you can only use 2.75 in any x86 operating system. (32bit). All the other is left for oyur video card and stuff, so its a waste. I would get it it for 64bit, and I'm guessing you don't do any like computive things like 3dmodelling and sutff. I would have gotten 2 and got an 8800gts or gtx, and whyd you buy a 7900gs, when midrange dx10 cards are about to come?

it's good computer - 4Gb RAM memory isn't bad at all - and when it comes to Supreme Commander it's perfect and for future games but you should've bought 2x 2Gb RAM memory with higher Mhz  , video card is good for today but not the best, but what's with the screen? 29'? you're going to play it in your living room or something?

Yes 4 gigs is excessive at the moment. You would have been better off with 2 gigs and an 8800GTX. The 7900GS is holding back your system from its fullest potential(not that its a bad card). Whats the highest resolution that the 29 inch LCD capable of displaying?

you can easily over clock the processor to about 3 ghz with a real simple cooling mod, its all over the internet. And the video card is a bit lacking. Exccesive is never a word to use after you bought something, its just you'll never have a ram problem lol.

Yeah, you shoulda dropped the extra 2 gigs of RAM and bought yourself a 8800 GTS at least. 7900 won't take advantage of dx10.

nice rig.  I'm not familiar with the specs of a 7900gs, but i have a 7800gt and its good enough to last you a while.  You'll play most games in high-max detail no problem, since you have 4gbs of memory.  I'm totally envious of that.

Wow I got the same computer today, except mine has 2.13 on the cpu, and I only have 2 GB of RAM, I was checking about the video card, and most people recomend to hold on the dx10 cards, since no games support them yet, so I guess we will be having a blast with it. Oh I almost forgot, tha monitor is HUGE!!! my monitor is 19". By the way, what games will you play on it?

On the contrary, my monitor sucks, well it's good except sometimes it gets really frickn hot and gatewy customer support sucks, and also it came with a dead pixel.  As for the graphics card it's a 7300LE

made a huge mistake going with a DX9.... and why did you get 4GB of ram? any 32bit OS is unable to use 4GB of ram.. you should have gotten 2GB of ram and then with the extra $$ you should have gotten the 8800GTS or GTX beside that 7900GS which is not a good gpu to start with...

4GB is GREAT, but you should have got 2GB, and spend the leftovers on a better processor\8800GTX.

It's a Dell so that automatically drops it a few points. Other than that it's fine except for the slightly dated graphics card and excessive ram as others have already pointed out.

its a Nice comp.

But i aggree with the others that you should have dropped the extra 2 gigs of ram and gotten a better GFX card. But its still a nice card but thats the only thing that is holding your comp back atm. As i can see you are a Guy with cash so when you first have bought a comp that has a high price then got for the full package.

If you have Vista, 4GB of ram is fine, because Vista recognizes up to 64GB of ram. Yes, even the 32Bit verion of Vista!  Since Vista use over 600MB just at idle, you did well in starting with 4GB. However, your memory speed is lacking, you should have gotten 1066Mhz ram instead.

Take 2 gigs out, and save it as back up in case your other two sticks fail, windows xp for some reason can not recogonize 4 gigs, but vista can read 4 gigs if you go that route, Your video card is not bad at all, i wish i had the card you have, i have the 7600 xfx. But because of direct x 10 games coming up you should have taken that money you spent on the two extra gigs and put it toward the 8800gts to be prepaired for direct x 10 games, but you do have a nice rig though.

Well that 640MB vid memory helps if he will plays games at 2560x1600 res with AA/AF and all the other things turned on to max. It would have to be a rare case where he would need 4GB of system memory. I don't think there are any games right now that would use all 4GB(correct me if I'm wrong). At the moment, he would greatly benefit from the 8800GTX compared to 4GB of system memory of which half of that wont even be touched.

Alls were saying is that 8800 yields greater results then 4GBram.

How much $$$$ did you spend? Don't you think 7900GT would be better?
