Explain? hah. If I went out and built what he's offering me I'd be spending about $1200-1300, where as for him to buy all of this+take the $200, that's about $800.Your getting ripped off major lol.

No, not even close. For 1300 you could probably build a system around an i7 920, with a GTX 285, and 6GB.

Gold plated I hope :P, Seriously, only a Dual Core, probably standard RAM, low Watt PSU, your PS3 will probably stomp it.Your getting ripped off major lol.

A nice bit lower over local PC websites and NCIX, but still, I think it's a fair trade. Although I won't be able to tell til I see the condition of it all. 6 months is pretty fresh for parts, so I'd assume they're in great condition. Taking into account how the PS3 is going down in price, I can't see how this is a major 'rip-off' if anything an equal trade.Your getting ripped off major lol.

Can you link us to this 900 dollar PC? From the vague specs you listed, it seems to us your getting ripped off. Maybe it has to do with Canadian overpricing on everything?

That PC is worth about $700 CAD new. $350-400 CAD used. Not worth the trade if you're talking value only, but if you don't use your console, I don't see why not. I WOULD NOT GIVE HIM THE EXTRA $200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: There are not many good brands that carry 480W PSUs - so it's probobly some raidmax, or logisys garbage psu.
If I had to guess, he probably has that god ugly Logisys Area 51 case with the 480W psu combo.
IF you were to make the exchange, I would personally change the power supply to a corsair tx series, buy a 22" 1920x1080 lcd monitor, and grab 2x Ati 4870's and put them in crossfire config oh wait... that mobo doesnt even support xfire, does it even support sli?, instead then later on buy a nvidia 300 series card when they arrive(later on when ya want to upgrade).
the psu, monitor, and mobo let that rig down in my book as it stands.
I'd probably be using my 37" LCD HDTV as my monitor anyways through HDMI+DVI. I think I have a 500W power supply in my brother's old bedroom that he used last year that I could swap out. I had no plans to SLI.IF you were to make the exchange, I would personally change the power supply to a corsair tx series, buy a 22" 1920x1080 lcd monitor, and grab 2x Ati 4870's and put them in crossfire config oh wait... that mobo doesnt even support xfire, does it even support sli?, instead then later on buy a nvidia 300 series card when they arrive(later on when ya want to upgrade).

I've got an offer. My old comp isn't being used right now hp pavilion amd athlon64 3200 1gb ddr 180gb hd nvidia fx5200 400w psu dvd burner 17" monitor i'll trade you that for the ps3, you keep the games and the cash.TheDuffman26
That wouldn't be a Cicero pc, would it? My mom bought one of those like 3 or 4 years ago with the exact same specs.
I mean looking at the specs it aint bad, just that second hand, I dont think its worth it at all compared to the performance your going to get from the PS3. A lot of that hardwrae is outdated already, if you plan on playing newer games I just dont think it would cut it. See no use in buying outdated second hand PC hardware.
