After another thread on this board I was reccomened http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141131 for my low profile PC and budget range. To make sure before I buy can someone confirm this is low profile? Because it really doesnt look it and theres no mention of it on the page.

Thanks

dunno, i dont shop online for parts, and more importantly I dont live in the UK. i simply use them as a point of reference. any site i recommend has no UK equivalent. newegg.com, etc.

yes, the only noticable difference is that mine has a very functional fan whereas the one u suggest has a rather large and blocky heatsink. (metal grid on top)

The heatsink one is 512mb though what difference would the fan create?

the answer is simple nothing. a heatsink is simple a bulky device made to absorb the heat rather than blow it away. as for memory if u kindly stroll down the link u posted you find the low profile sapphire edition which has both a fan and the same memory as the one you suggest;. it is also a little cheaper. many people prefer fans over heatsinks as they tend to be unreliable. but i wont stop you if you buy it, because as i said the two are simply a different way to manage heat neither can trump the other.
