Well I'm going to do some major work in my downstairs living room and decided to throw away my 40' inch sony tv(bought liek 7 years ago). And now im looking at this Sony Bravia. And my primary use for this Tv will be playing my 360 and PS3 and watching movies. SO will it be any good or i need to consider another one

Also anybody know a good home theatre system for under 1000 dollars as well?

I don't know about Sony personally, I've never used them. But we have a 47" Vizio, it looks amazing. It's cheap too. Big name brands like Sony will take advantage of their brand and bump the price up. While a little company like Vizio (I don't think they're so little anymore :P) sell their TVs for a good price. But yeah, I like Vizio, its cheap and looks great. In fact, my uncle bought a 50" Plasma Vizio for their downstairs and he says his 360 looks awesome on it.

Keep in mind that the LCD is a rear projection, Not A flat panel, although sony makes very good products. I don't trust the vizio brand as far as I'm concerned, as rather unimpressive performance. but if you spend a bit more (which is reccommended if you are concerned about performance), go for a samsung DLP (example HL-T5676 56') or Sony's SXRD televisions (KDS-55A3000, availible for $1999 also availible in 50' for $1800 and 60' for $2200 respectively), or if you are not even concerned about money, the Pioneer Kuro Plasma (PDP-5010FD), or better yet, get ahigh definitionprojector, such as an epson's powerlite Home cinema 1080 (that's is 1080p and is sold at stores for$2499) or a sony SXRD (VPL-VW50 Sold at Sony's store for $2979, but notin stock) or a DLP (BenQ W10000, for $2795 at infinity Micro).

Do not buy LCD for gaming!!! You gonna experience blur in fast scenes. Take plasma instead.

And for your home theatre -buy HDMIcapable receiver foDolby TrueHD uncompressed sound.

brandao25 are you an expert it this department where you have proof that fast games or scenes are blury?

Anyways I'm no expert in that department but in my opion LCD tvs do just fine in fast motion games. Like Burnout Take down you know that game is fast and it is kind of blurry but that is how the game is made not the tv.

I have a Vizio 32" and a 360 and all of the games look great really nice. In HD it truly looks wonderful. I use thes tv for a monitor for the pc a gameing machine for the pc and the 360 and a movie screen as well. So to me at least it looks great and in HD when I watch football games on it wow it really looks nice.

My Dad on the other hand has a Samsung 46" hdtv and of course it is better then mine cause of the name and price but that is fine by me. I guess ithe saying goes like this you get what you buy.

I forgot to say this but get one that has a HDMI capability. Scence my 360 has that that is why it looks and sounds so nice. Even the speakers on the tv its self sounds ok not wonderful but just ok.
