I am on the verge of putting together my first gaming PC build and I just wanted to know if the parts I've chosen so far are good enough? I don't want to spend too much, I just want something that is good enough to play all the latest games (max setting aren't too important) going into next gen...

Graphics card - MSI HD 7850 OC 2048MB GDDR5

Motherboard - ASRock FM2A75M-DGS AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX

CPU - AMD A6-5400K Black Edition 3.60GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Dual Core

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache

Memory - Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Dual Channel Kit

Disk Drive - OcUK 20x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter

I haven't chosen a power supply or a case yet as they are of course contingent on all the other parts. Thanks in advance! :)

Not even close really.

An i5 2500k minimum

8GB DDR3 minimum

Radeon 7950 or GTX 760 minimum

Next gen is optimized on consoles, you need brute power.

Get rid of the APU and get a real CPU.

Why get an APU if you're getting a discrete video card? Get an FX 6300 if you're on a budget or an i5 2500k if you can find it at a reasonable price.

Yeah If you wanna go cheap get the six core AMD 6300 and get a aftermarket cooler with it and overclock to 4.5 ghz.

I went with that APU because it was cheap to be fair xD But if its too weak then I'll go with the AMD 6300, its a decent price + its 6 core.

I don't mind paying a bit extra for RAM so I'll happily go with 8GB. Radeon 7950 or GTX 760? Saw this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0g4CHq11fk. They both look pretty closely matched and the 7950 is slightly cheaper so I'll probably go with that.

I don't really have a solid budget, maybe 500, 600 at the absolute maximum.

EDIT:

Also, Is it safe just going with the cheapest 8GB (or 2x4GB) RAM or do I need to look out for certain brands and specs? Will 1600MHz be ok?
