You could crossfire a pair of 6870s. Completely destroys the 570 and they're cheaper to. They use around the same amount of power, run cooler, and aren't much louder than a single 570. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/301?vs=306 Any game old enough to cause trouble with a dual GPU set up can be maxed out with a single 6870 anyway.

Don't look to getting Ati cards just stay with that 570.

If you can wait a while, check out the new motherboards that are coming out and have you looked at getting a aftermarket cpu cooler since your getting the unrestricted i5? The stock intel coolers are rather unreliable in my experiences

Ati are a good value for money card but there driver support is horrid. Crossfire/sli should never be recommended over a single card. It is up to personal choice in most aspects.

Maybe if both options cost the same and the performance difference isn't more than 5% sure. But when Crossfire is cheaper, runs cooler, and gives you around a 50% performance boost in most games, you'd be doing a real disservice to recommend otherwise.

Hey everyone, thanks for the input. I thought when I started this thread that there would be some crossfire suggestions. But i have decided that for the moment I will be sticking to the single 570, mianly because I may want to update to another 570 in the future. Also, will I have much trouble overclocking? I have never done it before. @GamerSyrim I forgot to mention I was getting a hyper 212+ heatsink. But that was included in the price i posted earlier.

You should have no otherclocking issues just make sure you read a few articles about what you are actually doing so you understand. There is plenty of videos and info online and ways to make sure you are doing it right

The 570 will do you will especially if you choose to sli in the future. Best of luck with your pc!

Assuming the gtx 570 sli scales at around 1.75 times, and you bought your parts at today's prices, you'd have to wait until your second gtx570 drops to around $45 ( which will never happen) to actually get more value out of it than crossfire 6870. And that's not including the massive amount of extra noise, heat and power draw you would get vs 6870 crossfire.

Why would you even consider buying a GTX 570 when you are actually planning on a SLI in the future? Get one HD6870 and CF it at anytime you want and you'll get a beast of performance, plus less noise and less heat.

ROFL, gotta love the Gigabyte and Asus rivalry! but tbh, I have nothing against asus really, just always bought gigabyte and to this day never had to RMA a single one. I have a Asus LCD though, works great! If gigabyte started going down the crapper I would move to Asus on my motherboards, but I hope I never see that day, because gigabyte has always been great to me and it would be a shame to see another company leave the motherboard business, we already lost DFI. (oh HOW I MISS THEM...)
