After a lot of searching and posting it seems to ME like I have found something in my budget (SLIGHTLY below my budget) that seems to good to be true

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227140

Thoughts from the pro's would be appreciated.

Not worth it... If you're willing to build we can put a much more powerful one together. Building is very easy, and gets you much more bang for buck

edit: the 9600gt is the biggest let down, and the processor, whilst not bad, is not really worth it in the case of that pc

Why is that too good to be true? Lots of computers have similiar components for a similiar price.

Also, you need to compare the whole package. For me, buying a 979$ iBUYPOWER computer was actually cheaper than putting one together with similiar components because of Windows Vista and other things. So, compare the entire package and see if the difference is worth the "peace of mind".

The motherboard is very.... skimpy.... That and the GPU isn't too great (I am not saying it's bad, it just holding the CPU back). I could probably build something better for the same price easy. I originally made a Core i7 build for 1,000 with a Hd 4870 when the cpu was released for $1000, I could probably make the same now for about 900 or maybe even 800.

I recommend you pay the extra 200$ and get your computer from IBP. It's still cheaper for the full package than building it yourself and you'll get great longevity out of it.
