is this laptop a good buy?

toshiba satellite m55-s331 i think that's the laptop, i'm buying it used from my brother, it's in perfectly good shape bescause i see him using it all the time, and he takes good care of it, he needs to upgrade to a new laptop. i will be using it for gamespot forums, and just reading articles and watching stuff online, NO GAMES.

he's selling it for $100, how long will it last me?
