Phillips aren't bad, but I'd wait for the cheaper NEW Sonys and Samsungs coming this month. also Toshiba Regzas are good.

Well, the tv costs 1200 euro (shipping price included). Which is pretty cheap compared to other tvs.

Anyway, what's up with those cheaper new Sony and Samsung tvs? Do you have any links with pricing and specifications? :)

Sony and Samsung are supposed to do ~25% price drops on their TVs in a month or so, and probably taking the other competition's prices down with them. LG/Philips makes LCD panels that a bunch of other people use, so their stuff is likely good - though I don't know for sure.

Well, i changed my mind. I'm going to buy one of those new Sony's xbr6 models. These new xbr6 models seem to be better than anything what Philips and Sammy have to offer in the same price range.

You sure about the 44000:1 contrast ratio? Even for a dynamic ratio that seems pretty high at that price

Best thing on that TV is the Pixel Plus 3 HD. Unless you play that in a pitch dark room that contrast ratio wont mean much. Try get a TV with the 100mhz Feature. For the most part though, that TV is quite nice and i would buy it myself if i wasnt already hooked on another one [just waiting on that paycheck =D]
