Except an 920 is a significant increase in price for gaining approximately jack in gaming performance.

The modular power supply makes it much easier to organize the inside of your rig. Less wires is always a plus.

Good, good... I'm tired of this. I'm going to retire from recommending people rigs...

PS: If you can get GTX275 over 4890 for the same price because of greater game support and better drivers.

5870 isnt too much more expensive. than the 4890, wait until newegg gets em in stock and get one of those....the performance is at least 30-50% better without costing that much more

Maybe I someone should try to create a thread that lists part recommendations so we don't get this ridiculous amount of posts littering the forum. I may considering starting such a project this weekend.

There are plenty of those types of things on the web, but people prefer to get a human to help.. .which makes sense, but is rather anoyying.

I second that. The amount of posts on this subject is somewhat rediculous. There are plenty of first hand reviews on Newegg.com and other sites about specific hardware and software. zbdyx this is i no way directed at you, your rig took a lot of thought and time, but I think a lot of other people post threads like this so that they can just have someone else do all the searching for them.

That's the primary reason I would like to make a thread for. I don't mind people who want suggestions on their build ideas, but I do not like to repeatedly pick the same parts over and over for people who have no idea what to get and just set only a budget.

They seldom respond to threads and would certainly not post in one like I am suggesting.

I paid about that much ~3 years ago and I had everything the same except not as good of a mobo, and amd athlon x2 5000+ (2.6Ghz) and an 8800gt w/ 750psu. Its a bit pricy but you probably can't get it cheaper unless you build one yourself with rebates.
