If you haven't been convinced by now, you are probably better off waiting. VR is expensive and the fidelity of the displays is not impressive to be perfectly honest. These things need to be operating at a much higher resolution and that will require more powerful hardware in the future. I have a Rift and I think VR is cool, but I really don't use it much. There are not many good full on games for any of the VR headsets. Mostly just tech demos and experiences that will not keep you engaged long term.

For me, no. Need better, cheaper hardware and more games. Wait for 2nd Gen stuff.

It's not worth getting at all when all you need is a bit of cardboard and a smartphone...

It's one of those things where I don't get the appeal, and I don't think I ever will. I've used it - it's not impressive. I could imagine that if I had poor eyesight, I might be more satisfied with the way VR is right now. But in the end, any way you dice it, it's something I'd never use.

Some people are all over it, in the same way people were all over every other "innovation" that turned out to just be a bad. But if they like it - good for them. Who am I to tell someone that wearing goggles isn't immersive.

Nope, right now VR is tech demos and adaptions from existing games. Not only does it require more power, it makes some normal things really hard (movement). Wait until it matures, for sure.

Based on what I've heard of the rift, it's not that comfortable, the image quality isn't that fantastic and there is a noticeable "screen door".

Also, there are little to no AAA games to play on it - but that might change fairly soon.

I think it sounds kinda cool, but considering the high price, it's probably best to wait for future models and more game support.

You can always force games to play on VR as you could with 3D glasses, some games will work beautiful while other like crap - not talking about performance only but visuals too.

Wait for VR genre to be ready, then buy one.
