[QUOTE="04dcarraher"] How is it better when you have to fight with it to do simple tasks...... And all those little tweaks as is stated isnt worth the hassle and most people could care less with saving a few seconds on boot times, saving a few hundred meg on memory usagezaku101
How is it better? Because technically, it is better. With the new UI, if you dont like it, then thats your opinion and thats fine. However, technically it is better and you can't really deny that
Technically it's a worthless piece of software that can't even tell you why youre getting a BSOD, no start menu, needs a bloody CD to boot into safe mode and you can't disable UAC. Yeah it also takes two desktops steps to find and open a simple program. If you ask me it's going to fail harder than vista. Also stating that UAC is a good thing or needed is just stupid. Ive removed viruses from over 30+ computers, guess what they all had UAC enabled. Other than annoying messages it isnt going to protect you in any way. It's basically nothing more than a gimmick. Performance wise there's like a 2%+ and - difference between the two.
I wasnt talking about viruses in terms of UAC and UAC isnt for protection of viruses. It does tell you why you got a bsod, it gives you the error, and you can look into a log for more details. I'm not advocating windows 8 but all the windows 8 hate is just rediculous.
