Is World of Warcraft 3 worth buying ?

Being fairly new to the rts type games and looking to get into them I was wondering if WOW 3 is worth it or should I look for something newer like Sup Com or CoH or DoW? Which has better graphics and storyline and is fast non paced action? Thanks...

your thinking of warcraft 3....world of warcraft is something completly different....

that said...its deffinetly a great game...and worth bying especially if your newer to RTS's....Supcom and COH are great games...but are far more complex and would be overwheleming to anyone new to RTS's....

If you want a newer RTS though...C&C3 would be a good place to start for someone newer to RTS's.

Yeah, Warcraft 3 is definitely worth trying. It doesn't have the best technical graphics but because of it's artistic approach is still looks pretty good IMO. Story wise Warcraft 3 is awesome, definitely better than Supreme Commander. If you do decide to finish Warcraft 3 make sure you also play the expansion The Frozen Throne. The story takes place just after the first one, continuing more of that Warcraft 3 goodness.

Oh yes, it's an easy RTS to pick up and learn (unlike Supreme Commander).

its a good game to get if youare into rts.

Its easy to learn yes, but to get good at, HELL NO.. The game requires more micro then really any other RTS I played... Even when facing the cpu you will get your ass brutally handed to you for quite a while..

What about DoW then? Demo seems great.

if your going to get a good rts, get wc3, especially if you like internet multiplayer custom games!

you can play wc3 for a year online, there are so many custom games it makes me cringe with excitement! Civilization 3? why buy it when you can play it on wc3 with up to 12 players! why buy risk 2 when you have the wc3 version for free! and its better! and Dota! and 1000+ other games zomg warcraft 3 online is ftw

Warcraft 3 is an amazing game... too bad I suck at it. :(

It also has a great scenario editor, resulting in a bunch of fun multiplayer custom games. (at least they used to have a bunch... now it's just DotA, DotA, DotA).

ya warcraft 3 is worth it if you like going back to the classics. Its a good game stor is excellent
