issues with large downloads...

so for some reason, its basically become impossible for me to download big files from teh internets. and i wanna know whY!!

its not like an exact thing that happens everytime, its just that at a random time (and i've been trying NUMEROUS times to dl crysis and COD4 demos) the download either stops completely and the window closes, or like i get a messege saying it "timed out", or the most recent was "the connection to the server was reset"
once I left the room for a while then came back and it was gone, but no error messege so i went and sure enough tehre was a file that was half the size it should have been and therefore did not work.

but usually the files just don't exist after it stops working, they just disappear as if i hadn't been dling anything for the past two hours..

HELP!!! i'm wondering if its my connection, (even though it seems fine and browsing is fine) and i've done bandwidth tests, and its says my dl speed is a little over 1.2 mb/s even though i've never dl'ded anything faster than 200 kb/s

so is it my internet, how could i find out, or IE7, or what?

where do you dl stuff? if you want crysis fast you can try ea.com

i've tried all sorts of places, filefront, fileshack, gamershell, gamespot etc

right now i'm trying nzone the second time, cept this time i'm on firefox (which i just dled)

it hapens to me cuz im with tiscali and at peakusage times it cuts out.this is because the conection is shared out with the whole village(only tiscali users) and it cant cope with demand.

im not shure why or how it is like that but it is

i use torrents to stop it being a problem and loesing 2/3 hours of download

firefox didn't work, i got a messege at around 22 ish pecent downloaded:

"... could not be be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administor."

.... HELP!!!!! is it my internet?? can't figure this one out!

attention ppl,

i fixed the problem by downloading a download manager/accelarator called "Internet Download Accelerator" on download.com

it worked!!! it pieced together the problems even though it cut out at various times i think, but idk it managed to work!!!! :D

try it if u have those problems
