Okay so the computer finally turned on i heard the fans and saw the lights... There's a problem though. One it won't turn off unless i turn it off from the power supply. And im guessing the reset button doesn't work since nothing happened. Another problem was when i plugged in the moniter it said VGA No Signal! Here's a picture of how the front looked like. I put the reset, pwr and so forth in the right spot but idk if i but them the right way. And if so how do i know which of the three i need to switch around. How do i figure out whats not working?

And also im not sure if i looked wrong but although the CPU fan was plugged in right (im sure) im almost positive i didn't see it on.

There should be a small fan connector that's labeled something like: CPU_FAN

Connect your heatsink/fan to that connector to power the fan. If you're CPU fan isn't coming on and it is plugged in correctly, don't run your PC. You'll end up frying your CPU because you don't have anything drawing the heat away from it. If this is the case and your CPU fan doesn't work, then either your connector on the MB is bad or your CPU fan is bad. I'd first RMA the motherboard and if that doesn't solve your problem, pick up an after market CPU fan - it'll cost you $20-60, depending on you take a liking to.

You need to consult your MB manual to see which spots correspond to connecting your Reset/Pwr/LED. If you hook things up and they don't work, you probably have them connected wrong. It's the small things like this that can make things tedious, but once you learn how things work and you successfully put your first PC together, it's a cool feeling of accomplishment.

I just wanted to make sure that you have both your 24pin power connector and your 4pin power connector attached to your MB from your PSU. The 24pin powers things on your MB, except for the CPU and CPU fan. The smaller 4pin power connector is the one that powers your CPU and CPU fan. If that's not plugged in, that may be the reason why your CPU fan isn't turning on.

I don't think i put the 4pin. Where's that at? What's it look like and where does it go?

Figured out why the Vga was so i put the 2nd 8 pin on the video card. And i switched around the Reset since it was upside down due to it having to be the opposite side of the Power and the power was working. The reason i figured this out was because on the manul there + and - Were opposite. Hope that made sense.

The 4pin (might even be an 8pin) power connector looks just like the 24pin does (but obviously smaller in size). Usually you find the smaller power connector somewhere close to the area of the CPU. Whereas the 24pin connector tends to hang around the IDE connector.

Yeah right before you posted this i opened the motherboard and theres something that says ATX 12V 2x4 hanging around near the cpu. you beat me to it lol. Now which one goes there? or will it be obvious when i see it? And it's 8pin.

On my PSU, the 24pin power connector and the 4pin split from the same bundle of wires, you might want to check and see if you have the same kind of setup on your PSU. So it was pretty easy not to mix things up. That's about all I can tell you about that....maybe someone else might be able to explain it better for you.
