I haven't come up with a name of it yet (suggestions very welcome) however i do have some of the characters and "team" names decided on. Essentially the game is a war of attrition from two opposing sides. On one side, we have the faceless coorperation 'Atoms Peg', a secretive branch of the government dedicated to nuclear research and testing. Your side (the heroes) in this quest for glory is a band of local tribespeople who have had their community ripped from it's roots and have been discredited at every turn by Atoms Peg - mainly through mainstream media channels targeting the communities use of strong language and strange reproductive habbits. This band of unlikely heroes are known only as "OMG", because simply saying the communities real name is actually offensive in every major language (except Dutch, oddly enough).

This will be a text based MMO game, i'm looking into gaining the rights to use this song. as our theme tune. You begin the game post the communities removal and have the oppertunity to create your own character with a vast amount of customisation. The end goal is to discredit and destroy Atom's Peg while gathering the respect of other communities the company continues to put senseless pressure on. The game will have a vast amount of interaction with other websites. You gather points for every propaganda video you post on youtube. Scaled points are awarded for interactions with twitter (IE: a tweet with 100+ replies gathers 10 points, 200 = 20 etc. ). Same sort of scaling works for facebook. You gather the most points by interacting with other companies within the gamespace, so by coming across the companies competators you can give interviews and tell your side of the story to them and they use it against Atom's Peg. Occasionally you may gather intelligence about dodgey practises by the company and if you use them correctly you gather large amounts of points. Don't want to give too much away now, eh?

I'm open to futher suggestions on scoring as well as everything else related, i was thinking it could be a never ending game or it should be on repeat and reset every week. I would very much like to hear everyones thoughts on this, i have 4 mates who are excellent coders ready to go with this but we needed to bounce it off a fairly oppressed audience to make sure we are doing this the right way :)

Please, take the time to come up with suggestions and a game name to make this project happen :)

This is actually pretty damn creative in making a game out of Web 2.0 systems. Problem is, where is the challenge instead of content creation grinding, and challenge within cooperation? Worth taking a look at Love in how players work against a reactive a.i. cooperatively, even if it isn't a meta web game. Take a step back and look at your actual gameplay mechanics, threats to the player (the constantly changing challenge) and short and long term rewards system. Even for a text based mmo this is very ambitious; sure as a viral campaign kind of game that a marketing team would use to promote something, giving out real world prizes, this would work *amazingly* (keep this in mind). As an actual game? I am interested to see where it'll go, good luck with it! Oh and using Killing in the Name of? I like RATM but imho not sure if it fits with the whole text based vibe; maybe for a more visceral action game?
