Actually I thought it was very promising! The only bad part was how short the demo was... it left me jonesin for more!

I was hyped about it at first but the more I played it the more I saw it is just another cheap port to pc. It could of been great with a few changes to the gameplay. I don't mind ports if they are done well but for a SP only game I don't think this will be enough to make my wallet open up and say ah.

I played it, the graphics were nice but gameplay was kind of lacking, the voice acting was more of an annoyance than anything (watch the intro, "together, they are an unstoppable team of magician warriors!" I was cracking up when I heard that), the gameplay was meh, and who else noticed an autoaim? wtf? The controls were also kind of annoying, just that for the main weapon its right click and the secondary weapon is left click.

I can easily seeing it being a really successful console game, but for some reason it didn't really feel right on pc. MY main complaint was the controls, if those were tweaked a bit it could work.

I was pretty disappointed with the game (demo). I was expecting it to be more like Undying. I don't care for squad based games and the monsters were just monsters- not scary at all. It also had a console feel to it in the way you move. I hated the fact that you can't map your movement exactly the way you want it. I usually use the mouse buttons to move, but I couldn't do that in this game. The only way I'd purchase this game is if I was really bored and it was really cheap.

It was a so-so demo, I thought. Good graphics, ran very well. Controls do need some getting used to...
Innovative ideas with the squad selection on a fps.
But yeah, lacking in the 'fun' department. And the demo was way too linear for my taste.

I enjoyed it although it took time to get used to the situation. Graphics are superb, sound is rough around the edges, and the demo was too short to give the game a final verdict.

It has potential of being a good game, but it's not going to be like what Undying was back in the day.

I have one question. Is it shader 3.0 only or does it support S2.0? I won't waste my time (nor bandwith) dl'ing a demo that I can't even play.

Well that's rather disappointing for me. Atleast I had a chance to play the 360 version, but when I get those new 2900 Pro's in the coming months I'm def gonna give Jericho a test drive.

Quick demo, but you get a lot from it. You get a sense of the type of game it will be almost immediately. Fantastic graphics pushed my 8800 with all the goodies turned up. Great AI allows for you to watch your team fight, and you can sit back and watch. It really does look amazing.

the demo was amazing. i really like the variety of squad members you'll have under your control. i also just simply like the fact that it's a game with demons/monsters, and it's not only you. :P so far, i will definitely pick up this game. it also ran smooth as silk on all high.

I didnt really like the demo, i thought it was going to be a scary game but it turned out to be just an average fps. im still going to rent it out when its released to get a better idea of the game, the demo was to short.

Yea, I'm kinda on the fences with this game. I like the graphics allot and the guns are pretty cool. I kinda think it's a little overwhelming to allow the changing between so many characters. I also feel like there's nothing more to the game than pretty graphics and lots of blood. Looks promising none the least!

I haven't played the demo yet but I just like to say that I loved Clive Barker's "Undying" I would REALLY love to see a sequel for it. Even though, I am not a big FPS fan but Undying had a great, creepy atmosphere, I enjoyed it a lot!

Anyway, that is why I might check out Jericho since it's also by Clive Barker.

I tried out the demo and here are my thoughts, take them as you want:

I don't know how to put it, but something felt like it was missing from that game....

I don't enjoy doing little things that are required to progress a game forward, like you have to on some console games. For instance, when you're decending down the man-hole and you have to press the correct direction button, otherwise you fall to your death or you get the crap beat out of you. Leave that kind of game play for the dumbed down games released on consoles. Don't insult PC gamers with things like that when you port your game....I applaude you for your efforts to keep the players involved some way or another instead of doing cut-scenes, but it's just not something I feel applies to PC gaming.

The graphics look nice and it ran great on my PC with everything maxed out.

The characters you controlled felt slow, compared to the enemies that moved with grace and flew across the screen. I'm used to being able to keep up with enemies in FPS and not feel like my attacks or my ability to follow enemies are hindered, just to add difficulty to the game.

The control set-up was easy to use and I didn't have any issues with it.

The atmosphere of the game was designed well and the overall setting was ok.

The AI of your comrades pretty much sucked. For example: I could be shooting at an enemy and my companion would clearly jump in my path of fire or, they'd stand there and take bullets from the enemies and act like nothing was happening; they wouldn't even move or try to find cover.

In all honesty, I might pick this up in the bargin bin, but I wouldn't spend anymore then maybe $15 on this game.

I'm glad there are those that like the game, but I'm just not one of those guys that cares too much for it.

On the technical side it was good, it looked nice, ran well and the gameplay was ok. It was also challenging and switching between squad members with different powers is a nice feature. But I hated the going down the pit part, and it had kinda console feel to it. Not gonna get it anytime soon, but I can see why it would appeal to some people.

The demo had great graphics, but that is all it has going for it. If any of you 12 year olds have studied history before, you realize that people are the most creative when they are constrained by something. You see this with the early philosophers whose ideas were regulated and limited by the catholic church. You also see this again with prisoners who develop extremely creative ways to create weapons. Nowadays, developers are not as constrained by the tools they use. Back in the days of the atari, developers had to find other ways to make games interesting besides graphics. They did this by focusing on gameplay and introducing new concepts. I am just saying that it is too easy to make a game technologically outstanding today. Developers are working harder and harder to increase the visual quality of games while neglecting gameplay. While there are exceptions, this is the current trend and it will undoubtedly continue.

I could barely get it to run on my 6800gs, even with all of the graphics options turned down. Not sure what the minimum specs are, but apparently the game needs more than what I've got. Discounting that, I thought the gameplay was awful. The weapons were nigh useless. Same with the "magic" skills. For some reason I had to re-map the primary and secondary weapon buttons to what they should be for a right-handed mouse. They were swapped by default. Also, the tutorial hints told me which 360 buttons to use, which was odd to see on a PC using kb/mouse. If the demo is any indication of the quality of the final product, this game will be buggier than STALKER and is a definite pass. I really like Clive Barker's writing, and loved Undying...so I *really* want Jericho to be a great game. So far I'm beyond disappointed.

Nice post(except the spitefull 12 year olds part...). I sorta agree, tho I've seen a lot less innovative games than Jericho as well. The powers, two weapon system and several squad members give it an original touch other FPS don't have.

Edit:
About the controls, I didn't have much problem with them, maybe because I was prepared due to the forum posts complaining about them, also the video explained the powers etc. well. Right M button fired the right hand weapon, and left button the left hand weapon. But it was also the controls that made it somehow feel consolish, with the "press space to do this and that" appearing on the screen. but it could had been worse, it could had said "press B" or whatever the console button for that action is.
