My OS is Win7, and I've been collecting old DOS games using DOSBOX. I have Aces of The Pacific, a flight simulator I played back in the days of 486-DX50s. I have a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, that is recognized by my computer in Win7, but not by the game. Any suggestions for a replacement joystick?

How is that possible? Press winkey+r, type joy.cpl, select the controller in the menu, click advanced and then select the controller in the drop down menu.

Are you sure you installed the correct drivers?

It's also possible that it's some quirk in the game. Maybe there's a config file you need to edit or something like that.

I currently own same joystick and I have no problems running games at Windows 8.1

You need to configure in game settings the key bindings - that's all.

Remember not all games are properly working well with all joysticks.

I checked, and my joystick IS listed in my hardware, but when I start AOP, under preferences, it will not accept the joystick.

There might be update or fix for that, if not just don't play the game with a joystick.

It is virtually impossible to play this aircraft simulation using the arrow keys to turn, or increase/decrease altitude.......I tried that.
